Who is Musweki?

What You Need to Know

I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world; your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart. All of these elements brought me to start Musweki Wa Afrika-Dzonga.


Musweki Wa Afrika-Dzonga is a self taught cook, bake and food photographer. I have started this platform to be able to share with ideas, recipes and beautiful images. The blog is not only limited to sharing the food I make, but as I explore our beautiful country and most of the amazing restaurants, I will make sure to give you honest details of my experiences.

I have a bachelor of Arts degree from the university of Witwatersrand. In many of my social media posts you will notice how I am very vocal when it come to political and social issues. I love people and believe in treating people the way we want to be treated. 


I am a wife and mother of two girls. You will see a lot of Chloe on my posts who loves tasting my foods and she is a picky eater, making her a good critique of my creations. 

The other reason for creating this platform is to ensure that my cultural foods are passed on for more generations. I am passionate not only about my cultural foods, but I love the utensils that were used and form part of interior decorations.  I am Mutsonga from Giyani. I spent most of my childhood in Limpopo and that is where most of my influence stems from. I have a small business dedicated to selling baked goods and personalised gifts.
